Mrs. Mary Ann Morisak, 75, of Victoria, formerly of Shiner, Texas, died Oct. 2, 2006. She was born on September 1, 1931 in Shiner, to Ed & Mary Kohler Schilhab. She married Laddie R. Morisak on May 6, 1947 at Wied, Texas. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lavaca County, Texas.

Mary Ann is survived by: 2 daughters Jennifer Houston & husband Bob of Victoria, and B.J. Nelsen & husband Bernard of San Antonio, Texas; sister Loraine Devars of Huffman, Texas; 2 grandchildren Scott Houston, and Elizabeth Berger & husband Darryl; and 3 great-grandchildren Jordan, Dustin, and Jayden Berger.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by: husband Laddie; parents Ed & Mary Kohler Schilhab; and 4 brothers Alfred, Edward, Charles, and Rudy Schilhab.

Service: 10 am, Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 3 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Bryan Heyer. Burial: Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: The Kidney Foundation, or American Diabetes Association. Pallbearers: Bob Houston, Bernie Nelsen, Pete Thomas, Roy Morisak, Alfred Hessler, and Scott Houston. Honorary Pallbearer: Norman Williams.
