Obituary

Mary Ann Hoch, 50, of Hallettsville, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 13, 2011. She was born on Jan. 21, 1961 to Claude & Rose Bitala Hoch Sr. in Lavaca County, Texas. She liked to go play bingo, and dancing to country and western music. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Mary Ann worked for Texas Migrant Council of 10 years. She was a dedicated worker to her job. She never missed a day, always on time never late.

Mary Ann is survived by: companion Dwain "Tubby" Tesch of Hallettsville; son David Wayne Hoch of Hallettsville; daughter Sheila Reed & husband Craig of Hallettsville; her mother Rose Hoch of Hallettsville; 4 brothers, Claude Hoch Jr. & wife Debra of Yoakum, Frankie Hoch & wife Kimberly of Buda, Fredrick Hoch & wife Basha of Waldorf, MD, and James "Booger" Hoch of Seguin; 3 sisters, Van Brunkenhoefer of Giddings, Doris Loredo & husband Johnnie of Yoakum, and Karen Perez & husband Luciano of Hallettsville; and 5 grandchildren.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by: her father Claude Hoch Sr., sister Betty Hernandez; and grandparents; James & Emily Bitala and Fred & Van Hoch.

Funeral Mass Service: 2:30 pm, Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 4 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Darryl Tesch, Glen Tesch, Dean Tesch, Michael Shaffer, Craig Reed, and Stephen Mazoch. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
