Mary Ellen Harris, 67, of Hallettsville, left this world August 31, 2008. She was born on June 10, 1941 to Ernest L. and Mary O. McArthur in Burlington, CO. She married George E. Harris on July 14, 1960 in Denver, CO. Mary enjoyed making pottery, spending time in her garden, and travelling with George.

Mary is survived by her husband, George, of Hallettsville; a son, Stephen D. Harris of Edmonds, WA; a daughter, Robyn L.M. Dombroski of Wasilla, AK; 5 grandchildren: Kristina, Laura, Mary, Christopher, and Michelle; a brother, Kenneth McArthur of Colorado; and 2 sisters: Elaine Taylor of Colorado and Betty Barker of Florida.

Mary was preceded in death by: son Scott Patrick Harris on August 10, 1985; and parents: Ernest on March 14, 1999 and Mary on January 18, 2004.

Memorial Service: 3 pm, Friday, September 5, 2008 at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville. Visitation: 1 pm, Friday, September 5, 2008 at Kubena Funeral Home. Private Family Burial: Speaks Cemetery, Speaks, TX.
