Mary Jane Gallia, 103, of Shiner, passed away June 4, 2022.  She was born on March 20, 1919, to John A. & Agnes Recek Drexler, in Lavaca County, TX.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mary loved gardening, animals and her grandchildren.  She always worked to provide for her family.  Her work ethic and her perseverance were examples for all those who loved her, especially her grandchildren.  Her strength and her love of family will always be remembered.

Mary is survived by:  2 daughters, Anne Goodman & husband William and Irene Heiman & husband Lenert Sr.; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Mary was preceded in death by:  parents; 2 sons, Robert James Gallia, Adolph Gallia Jr.; and 2 brothers, Louis and Joe Drexler.

Funeral Mass Service: 11 am, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 6 pm, Wednesday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary at 7 pm. Pallbearers: Lenert Heiman Jr., David Heiman, Wayne Heiman, Casey Goodman, Garrett Heiman and Craig Heiman. Memorials: St. Mary's Catholic Church or Donor's Choice. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
