Martha C. Orsak, 71, of Hallettsville, passed away January 21, 2017. She was born on August 27, 1945 to Wayne & Jesse Keller Fouse in Ridgeway, TX. She married Emith R. Orsak on September 1, 1963 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church of Lubbock, TX.

Martha's family and friends were never in doubt on how much she loved them; she was a kind and giving wife, mother and me maw. She loved shopping (especially QVC), court TV shows (especially Judge Jud), and you never saw her without a diet Dr. Pepper (her favorite drink). She never went to beautician school, but she was the best on around! She loved doing hair. She was a dearly loved wife, daughter, sister, mama and me maw.

Martha is survived by: her husband Emith; son Richard Orsak & wife Terri; 2 daughters, Jessica VanDeHey & husband Bill, and Kim Stepp & husband Kris; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Justin, Melissa and Matthew; great grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Martha was preceded in death by: her parents; 3 brothers, Douglas, Alvin and Bill; and 3 sisters, Pat, Mary and Linda.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church of Moravia. Visitation: 12 Noon, Wednesday, at Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church with Rosary at 1:30 pm. Pallbearers: Paul Orsak, Keith Orsak, James Orsak, Chuck Svetlik, Steven Svetlik, and Logan Orsak. Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Svetlik. Officiant: Rev. Max Landman. Memorials: local breast cancer organization, Hospice of South Texas, LAMB, or Donor's Choice. Burial: Moravia Catholic Cemetery.
