Mark Wayne Dixon, 55, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021 at Citizens Hospital in Victoria with family and friends surrounding him.  He was born on April 22, 1966 in Houston, Texas to the late Richard Dixon and Delrose Wick Dixon.  He graduated from Weimar High School in 1985.  Following graduation, he and his father purchased an automotive repair shop in Hallettsville Texas and began Dixon's Automotive.

Mark became a father for the first time with the birth of his daughter, Cheyenne in 1994 and again with the birth of his son, Daylin in 1995.  He enjoyed raising his kids and being involved and attending their many school and sporting events.  He became a grandfather in 2017 with the birth of his granddaughter, Zani.  After his father died in 2007, Mark continued working and running the business until he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer in July 2021.

Mark loved playing dominoes, fishing, and spending time with family and friends in his spare time. He loved to have fun and often joked and enjoyed making others laugh. His sister will always believe he sent secret signals to his domino partners while playing against her.  He was a dedicated son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Mark is survived by; his daughter Cheyenne Dixon of Hallettsville, his son Daylin Dixon of Waco, his mother Delrose Dixon of Hallettsville, his granddaughter Zani of Hallettsville, his sister and brother-in-law Renee & Lonnie Hinze of Weimar, his nephew and niece Jarrod and Lauren Hinze of Weimar, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mark is preceded in death by; his father Richard Dixon of Hallettsville, maternal grandparents Rudolf & Christina Wick of Weimar, and his paternal grandparents William & Wilma Dixon of Hallettsville.

Memorial Funeral Mass Service & Rosary: 11 am, Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 10 am. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: donor's choice.
