Marie Yendrey Vasek, 74, of Hallettsville, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016, in her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 2, 1941 to the late Oscar & Edmay Harrington Bertrand in Kaplan Louisiana. She married Eugene Vasek Jr. on September 2006 at LaWard Pentecostal Church of LaWard, TX. We will always keep your memory close to our hearts.

Marie is survived by: her husband Gene; 5 children, Angela Seamons of Lake Charles, Louisiana, John Yendrey of Mobile, Alabama, Barbara Yendrey Newton of Victoria, TX, Dianna Yendrey Matthews & husband Chip of Corpus Christi, TX, and Robert Yendrey & wife Diane of Lolita, TX; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sister Helen Cornor of Pasadena, TX.

Marie was preceded in death by her first husband Johnnie Yendrey, and her parents.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 4 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Rev. Kendall Graves. Pallbearers: Alvin Vasek Jr., Bradley Yendrey, Chip Matthews, Dain McCoig, Gary Newton, and Stan Brown. Memorials: Charity of your Choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
