Marie Agnes Grafe, 94, of Hallettsville, passed away Nov. 30, 2013. She was born on March 26, 1919 to Joe C. & Mary Michna Vanek in Wallis, TX, the oldest of 9 children. The family moved to Hallettsville when Marie was 4 years old. She was a member of Divine Mercy, KJZT and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Marie is survived by: daughter Barbara J. Magruder & husband Hollis E. of Hallettsville; sister Fran Byrd & husband Bill of Hallettsville: 2 grandchildren, Matt Magruder & wife Amanda of Allen, and Stacy Hower & husband Todd of Austin; and 3 great grandchildren, Lucas Magruder, Addison & Tanner Hower.

Marie was preceded in death by: 1st husband Frank A. Grafe and 2nd husband Charlie O. Grafe; parents; 4 brothers, Charles, Louis, Stanley and Joe Vanek; and 3 sisters, Kathryn Munke, Victoria Klimichek, and Maggie Volcik.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.
Visitation: 4 pm Tuesday, at Kubena Funeral Home.
Rosary: 7 pm, Tuesday, at Kubena Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Bobby Joe Klimitchek, Charles Joseph Grafe, Barry Vanek, Ronnie Volcik, Michael Volcik, Kent Munke, and Douglas Munke.
Honorary Pallbearers: Caregivers at Hallettsville Rehad and Nursing Center.
Officiant: Msgr. John Peters.
Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Sacred Heart Catholic Church or donor's choice.
Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
