IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Ann
Timm
July 7, 1914 – June 13, 2008
Prior to her marriage to Tommy, Maggie attended Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos, where she obtained her teaching certificate. She held a teaching position in Sublime, Texas, and rode the train (more commonly referred to as the "dinky") back and forth. After leaving her position as a teacher, Maggie also worked in her father-in-law's grocery store. Maggie, along with Tommy, then started their own business as the owners and operators of Timm's Food Market in Hallettsville for 14 years. She retired at the age of 57 and spent her remaining years with Tommy, enjoying a quiet life with their family and friends. Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year - she and Tommy had a beautiful collection of Snow Village Christmas Houses and took great pride in showing and sharing with all who visited.
Maggie was one of those special people who touched the lives of everyone she met with her beautiful smile, and her wonderful, caring and loving nature. She was the matriarch of the family and always had a smile for everyone and kept her calm in any situation. No one ever left her home hungry or without an invitation to come back. She will be truly missed, especially by her family.
Margaret is survived by: 3 sons, Forrest W. Timm Jr. & wife Margaret, Jerry J. Timm & wife Mary, and Carl D.
