Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Gipe, 88, of Hallettsville, died May 1, 2008. She was born on Sept. 5, 1919 to John A. & Viola Smidt Besch in Texas City. She married Johnny Gipe on Oct. 2, 1971 in Houston. She was an avid reader and member of First Baptist Church of Hallettsville.

Margaret is survived by: son Randy Parr & wife Vicky of Lake Jackson; daughter Leilani Harden & husband Ralph of Victoria; brother Paul Besch of Sweeny; sister Dorothy Barnett of Freeport; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by: husband Johnny on Feb. 17, 1995; 2 sons, Johnny and Jimmy Parr; parents; and brother Elmer Besch.

Graveside Service: 11 am, Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Hallettsville City Cemetery. Officiate: Mr. Bob Edwards.
