Marcus J. Janak, 77, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He was surrounded by his family in prayer. He was born December 12, 1937 to Albert and Helen Matusek Janak.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillie S. Janak, son Bruce Janak and wife Emily of Goliad, daughter Suzanne Stevens and husband Robert of Nursery, son Mark Janak and special friend Karen of Victoria, grandchildren Sheila (Brett) Noake, Brent (fiancée Jeanette) Janak, Renae (Mac) Jank, Jennifer (Danny) Ballard, Keith (Ashley) Janak, and Kelly Janak, four step grandchildren, beloved great grandchildren, brother August (Cecile) Janak of Hallettsville, sister Ann Henneke of Kingwood and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter in law Diane Janak, 10 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church of Sweet Home. Visitation: 5 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary starting at 7 pm. Officiant: Rev. Charles Sonnier. Pallbearers: Brent Janak, Keith Janak, Brett Noake, Danny Ballard, Mac Jank and Wayne McAda. Memorials: Queen of Peace Catholic Church or Charity of Your Choice. Burial: Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery.
