Marcos Gonzales, 83, of Sublime, passed away on April 7, 2009. He was born on May 9, 1925 to Felix & Cruz Perez Gonzales in Runge, Texas. He married Hilda Soliz Gonzales on June 9, 1946 in Yorktown, Texas. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.

Marcos is survived by: his wife Hilda; 3 sons, Frank Gonzales & wife Rosa of Sublime, Roy Gonzales & wife Margaret of Missouri City, and Joe Gonzales & wife Norma of Alvin; 2 daughters, Irene Quintanilla & husband Joe of Rosenberg, and Margret Hill & husband Gary of Garland; brother Willie Gonzales & wife Lucia of Eagle Lake; and sister Lala Mungia of Stafford.

Marcos was preceded in death by: parents; and 3 sons, Ray, Rudy, and Ray Gonzales.

Service: 11 am, Monday, April 13, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 6 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 10:30 am, Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Frank Gonzales Jr., Steven Gonzales, Paul Gonzales, Joe Quintanilla Jr., Roque Gonzales, Russell Gonzales, April Gonzales, Michele Torres, Rachel Christman, and Terri Santillan. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
