Ludwig was founder of Pustejovsky Motor Company in Hallettsville with his brother Fred. Several years after relocating to Port Lavaca, he founded the Port Auto Clinic which he operated with his wife Louise until his retirement. Then he returned to the family farm in Hallettsville. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus in Port Lavaca.
Ludwig is survived by: 4-daughters, Dorothy Lenertz of Ezzell, Texas, Dolores Johnson of Hallettsville, Gladys McMasters of El Campo, Texas, and Patricia O'Brien & husband Charles of Lewisville, Texas; son Anthony Pustejovsky of Port Lavaca; 2-sisters, Hedwig Pustejovsky and Theresa Steffek of Hallettsville; 2-brothers, Fred and Bohumir Pustejovsky of Hallettsville; 8-grandchildren, Mark Lienemann, Lori Balfanz, Tracy Johnson, Kristopher Pustejovsky, Tara Friedrich, Mischelle Hermes, Tausha Bartels, and Nicole Strakos; 3-step-grandchildren, Donna Klaas, Rebecca Keating, and Ginger Varner; 9-great-grandchildren; and 9-step-great-grandchildren.
Ludwig was preceded in death by: wife Louise (December 28, 1999); grandson Arlyn Lienemann; 2-sisters Vlasta and Justina Pustejovsky; brother Julius Pustejovsky; and 3-son-in-laws, Billy Wayne Johnson, S.R. McMasters, and Donald Lenertz.
Service: 10:30am, Monday, June 12, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Rosaries: 6pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home, and 10am, Monday at Sacred Heart Church. Visitation: 3pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home. Burial: Pustejovsky Memory Garden. Pallbearers: Tracy Johnson, Kristopher Pustejovsky, Mark Lienemann, Gary Pustejovsky, Fred Pustejovsky Jr., Michael Steffek, Scott Ebrite, Clifton O'Neal, and Clarence Gregory. Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Harvey Renger, Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
