Obituary

Lucille M. Etzler, 77, of Hallettsville, passed away July 13, 2009. She was born on August 23, 1931 to Theodore & Agnes Christ Etzler. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas, Sacred Heart A.C.T.S. Team, Sacred Heart Quilting Circle, Associate of Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacraments, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lucille was always willing to help others and do almost anything for other people. She made so many friends in her lifetime and brought joy to so many people's lives. The nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews were always excited when their parents would get her to babysit. She was always so much fun to be around because she would always play games with the kids. No matter what age she was, she was always young at heart.

Lucille never had any children of her own, but you would never know that from all the young people's events. She was faithful in her attendance to her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; in sporting events, Christmas and music programs, band concerts, graduations, and anything else the kids were involved in.

Lucille enjoyed taking vacations with her family. Family was always willing to take her anywhere, because she was so much fun to be around and everyone just loved her. She also was proud of her garden, and insisted her garden was the best, and family felt she had the best canned pickles. She also had a passion for animals and nature. Lucille will be greatly missed by many people because she touched so many people's heart.
