LTC Peter Arthur Marikle, retired US Air Force, 78, of Goodyear, AZ, passed away February 12, 2022.  He was born April 4, 1943.  He married Marilyn Jean Bludau on September 19, 1998.

Peter during his service in the US Air Force, he received; Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with Seven Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award with Four Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Six Oak Leaf Clusters, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm and Republic of Vietnam Campaign.

Peter is survived by: 2 sons, Jon and Sean Marikle; daughter Elizabeth Sharpee; 3 grandchildren, Eve, Jonathon, and Joseph Sharpee; and sister Rosemary Espinosa.

Peter was preceded in death by; his wife Marilyn, parents, and grandchild Veronica Rose Sharpee.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, TX; Visitation starting at 12 Noon with Rosary starting at 1:30 pm. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville or charity or your choice.
