Louise and her husband PeeWee moved to the Vienna area in 1973. They built and operated the Vienna Trading Post for over 25 years. Louise was known to many in the oil field as "Mom", and was famous for her home cooking. She was a "people person" who never met a stranger. Her love for the outdoors was obvious in her yard. Her many pets brought enjoyment to both her and her many friends and family.
Louise was a beautician in both Rosenberg and Hallettsville. She had a love for country music. She was a licensed Nashville booking agent in the 1960's, and introduced many young artist to the Nashville scene.
Louise was a lover of life. Her greatest enjoyment came from her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Known also "Nonnie" and "Aunt Winnie", she spent countless hours spoiling and loving each and everyone of them.
Louise is survived by: husband PeeWee, the love of her life for 42 years; son Jimmy Felcman & wife Terry of Seguin; daughter Barbara Sralla & husband Donnie of Hallettsville; 3 brothers, James Allen Taylor of Victoria, Billy Taylor of Wharton, and Bobby Pohl of Hallettsville; 9 grandchildren to include Holly Henrichs & husband Shannon, Dustin Sralla & wife Kayla, Matthew Felcman, and Christopher Felcman; and 7 great grandchildren to include Ashlyn, Cole, and Austin Henrichs, and River and Miles Felcman.
Louise was preceded in death by: parents, son Michael Wayne Felcman, brother Alton "Jack" Pohl, and sister Elsie Hickey.
Service: 11 am, Monday, April 21, 2008 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 3 pm, Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home with the family receiving visitors between 5pm to 7pm that evening. Officiate: Rev. Herb Beyer. Pallbearers: David Pohl, Edward Appelt, Daniel Pohl, Terry Pohl, Alton Arthur Pohl, and Johnny Pohl. Graveside Service & Burial: 3 pm, Monday at Davis-Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, Texas. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas or Alzheimer's Association.
