Louis Schott

March 20, 1944 – October 27, 2020
Louis "Lucky" Schott III, 76, of Hallettsville, passed away on October 27th, 2020. He was born on March 20th, 1944, in Hallettsville, Texas, to Louis Schott Jr. and Otillia Millie Lux.
Lucky graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Hallettsville and attended Victoria Community College. He worked the majority of his life in the insurance industry. He served as Grand Knight with the Victoria chapter of the Knights of Columbus.
Lucky enjoyed spending time camping, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and dominoes. Growing up with parents that ran the movie theatre in Hallettsville, he developed a great love of different genres of movies. Lucky took a great interest in cooking and culinary arts. He had quite the food pallet, from fine dining to southern home cooking; he enjoyed it all. He relished every opportunity to be the life of any party. His deep voice and laughter would fill up any room. One of his favorite hobbies was reading about a variety of topics but especially history.
Lucky's greatest love was spending time with his boys and their families. He loved a good conversation and had many stories to tell. With his colorful jokes and quick wit, there was never a dull moment around him.
In his final years, Lucky was cared for by the staff at The Heights of Gonzales and Davita Dialysis in Gonzales. Our family would like to praise the incredible love and care the staff members at both facilities provided him.
