Lorine M. Zikuhr Doby, 84, of Houston, Texas entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. She was born in Hallettsville, Texas on May 27, 1934 to Fritz and Louise (Kremling) Zikuhr. On August 6, 1960 she married Calvin C. Doby at Baptist Temple Church in Houston.

Mrs. Doby was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Houston. She worked for food brokers, James Brokerage Company and The Gordon Company for almost 39 years. She retired in February, 1996. She enjoyed being with her family, doing water therapy, and going on trips.

Mrs. Doby is survived by: step-son Jerry Doby & wife Pat; 2 grandchildren, Larry Doby of Woodland Park Colorado and Deanna Reynolds of Seguin, Texas; 3 great-grandchildren, Austin Doby of Fort Collins, Colorado, Mason Doby stationed at San Diego, California, and Emma Doby of Woodland Park Colorado; sister Leona Hoerig & her husband Carlton of Yoakum; nephew Harvey Hoerig; nieces, Beverley Hoerig and Brenda Filip.

Mrs. Doby was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Calvin C. Doby, who died on January 1, 1999, and her parents Fritz and Louise Zikuhr.

Funeral Service: Heights Funeral Home , 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service. Burial will be at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX.

An additional memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Kubena Funeral Home , Hallettsville, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
