IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loraine Marie
Butschek
October 22, 1927 – April 26, 2016
Loraine Marie Butschek, 88, of Hallettsville, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on April 26, 2016. She left peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 22, 1927 in Mont, Texas, to Mary (Sitka) & Julius Mikulenka. She married Robert "Bob" Alexander Butschek Sr. on April 12, 1948. They had just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. They have four children: Robert "Bobby" Jr., Ronald, Wayne, and Karen (Jansky). She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters, Lady's Auxiliary of the American Legion, and a devout Catholic & current member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. She was very proud of the fact that her four children attended Catholic school for all 12 years of their education.
Loraine, or "Granny" as she was lovingly known, enjoyed life. You could find her playing dominoes and winning championships, working diligently in her garden and canning vegetables, dancing polka with Bob, working on the farm, and getting her hair done, as she always liked to look her best.
Loraine and Bob's relationship was a wonderful example of real love: good times, tough times, hard work, and standing by one another through it all. She will be dearly missed by her family, and most of all her husband, whom she had loved for a lifetime.
Loraine is survived by: her husband Bob; 3 sons, Bobby Butschek Jr. & wife Patsy of Galveston, Ron Butschek & wife Tanya of Hallettsville, and Wayne Butschek & wife Yolanda of Hallettsville; daughter Karen Jansky & husband Kenneth of Richmond; brother, Alvin Mikulenka; sister, Mary Lee Brosch; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren who have wonderful memories of her.
