Mrs. Lois Tracy Sevcik, 100, of Hallettsville, died Feb. 18, 2007. She was born on Dec. 11, 1906 to John & Tracy Tlucek Kovarek in Lavaca County, near Bila Hora Community. She married Julius Frank Sevcik on Oct. 27, 1925 in Hallettsville. She was a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge 4, and Czech Moravian Brethren Church in Vsetin.

Lois is survived by: 2-sons, Alton Sevcik & wife Marlyn Grones of Hallettsville, and Clifton Sevcik & wife Bernice Ehler of Hallettsville; 8-grandchildren, Forrest Sevcik & wife Carol, Curtis Sevcik, Dennis Sevcik & wife Annette, Michael Sevcik & wife Cathy, Ronald Sevcik & wife Debi, Mark Sevcik, Karen Friar & husband Joseph, and Donna Rainosek & husband Andrew; 16-great-grandchildren; 3-great-great-grandchildren; and 1-step-great-great-grandson.

Lois was preceded in death by: husband Julius on May 20, 1989; parents; grandson Kenneth Ray Sevcik; brother Albin Kovarek; and sister Hermina Anna Balusek.

Service: 2pm, Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 at Czech Moravian Brethren Church in Vsetin. Visitation: Noon, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Henry Beseda. Prayer Service: 7pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Burial: Czech Moravian Brethren Cemetery. Pallbearers: Forrest, Curtis, Dennis, Michael, Ronald, and Mark Sevcik. Honorary Pallbearers: Karen Friar and Donna Rainosek. Memorials: Charity of your choice.
