Linda Carol (Fojt) Koenig, of Hallettsville, passed away unexpectedly on March 4th, 2024 at the age of 63.  She was born on October 5th, 1960, in Victoria, to Raymond & Margaret Fojt.  She had four siblings, Jennifer Windberg, Randy Fojt, Le Ann Fojt and Melissa Barrios.

Linda grew up spending cherished time on her family farm in Hallettsville, TX with her siblings, parents, and grandparents Emil and Emma Fojt.  She graduated from Victoria High School in 1978.  She met her husband and the love of her life, Doyle, in 1977, at Sun Valley Dance Hall.  When she asked if anyone knew how to dance, Doyle raised his hand and they were off.  You could say it was a bit of love at first sight.  They were married on November 19th, 1978, and have spent the last 45 years dancing through life's adventures together.  The couple raised their family in Victoria and Austin, TX before finally settling on the family farm in 2022.

Linda had the keenest eye for decor, and loved antiquing, including repurposing old items (especially anything bird-related), creating keepsakes for loved ones, and painting.  She had the greenest of thumbs and enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, and swimming.  She was such a great swimmer; she was even a lifeguard in her youth.

Throughout her life, Linda was always doing things with her best friend and sister Jennifer as they raised their children of similar ages, going on adventures, playing sports, going to the beach, and boating on the lake.  She was an avid game and board game player loving to spend hours playing with her husband, kids, and grandkids.  Her favorites included Dominos, Catan, and Wahoo.  But to those who knew her, it was her passion for life, her wicked sense of humor, her contagious laugh, and her willingness to share her perspective on life that made you think and laugh. She was truly unforgettable to all who knew her.

Linda was a tremendous wife, mother, and grandmother. Each one of her children and grandchildren shared a special relationship with her. She will be forever loved, cherished, and missed by her husband, children, siblings, and grandchildren as well as those who called her a friend.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving behind:  her husband Doyle Koenig; daughters, Mindalynn Moffett & husband Scott Moffett of Leander, TX and Lindsey Foote & husband Kelley Foote of Spain; son Weston Koenig & wife Christi Koenig of Lago Vista, TX; siblings, Jennifer Windberg, Randy Fojt and Le Ann Fojt; and four grandchildren, Layne Moffett, Cameron Moffett, Jillian Foote and Bix Foote.

Linda was preceded in death by:  her grandparents, John & Laura Grahamann and Emil & Emma Fojt; parents Raymond & Margaret Fojt; and sister Melissa Barrios.

A private memorial will be held by her family at a later date and time.
