Lillie worked at Weingarten Inc. in Hallettsville for 25 years. She retired in 1965. Lillie enjoyed canning, dominoes, listening & singing to Polka Music. Her main love was making quilts for family and friends. She made over 450 quilts in her life time, of those 450 quilts; she only sold one, the rest she gave away as a sign of her love for people.
Lillie is survived by: daughter Delores Shely & husband Warren; son Marvin Zatopek & wife Nancy; sister Helen Noack; 6 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and 17 step great great grandchildren.
Lillie was preceded in death by: husband August; parents; 2 sisters Carrie Padilla and Viola Heiman; 2 brothers, Willie at infancy and Charles Trojcak; and 1 step great great grandson Cameron.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church of Moulton. Visitation: 4 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Prayer Service: 7 pm, Tuesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Herb Beyer. Pallbearers: Scott Smith, Chris Zatopek, John Patrick, Justin Patrick, Dennis Mueller, and D.J. Mueller. Honorary Pallbearers: Bruce Robinson and Mark Mueller. Burial: Moulton City Cemetery. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Zion Lutheran Church of Moulton (P.O. Box 176, Moulton, TX 77975), American Heart Association, or American Cancer Society.
