Obituary

Lillie Alline Schrock Anderson, 100, of Hallettsville, formerly of Kingsville, passed away on February 23, 2014 at Stevens Nursing Center of Hallettsville. She was born on August 2, 1913 in Gueydan, Louisiana to Claude Water Schrock and Louise Reese Schrock.

Lillie lived most of her adult life in Kingsville, and for many years was an associate for J.C. Penny, Inc. in Kingsville. She was a member of Retama Baptist Church in Kingsville, Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Kingsville, and after retirement she served as an election official in Kleberg County.

Lillie was truly a sweet caring lady who enjoyed her life to the fullest, spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed many hours of fishing along the Texas Gulf Coast, especially the Baffin Bay area with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her best friend, Mrs. Florene Myers.

Lillie is survived by: 2 sisters, Betty Jean Stewart and Jacqueline Schrock White, both of Houston; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Lillie was preceded in death by: her husband Marshall on March 31, 1979; her parents; 5 sisters, Delta Edmondson, Claudia Hedgecock, Lurline Waldie, Winnie Burkleo and Frances Coffman; and 3 brothers C.W. Schrock Jr., Thomas Schrock and John Henry Schrock.

The family wishes to thank the staff and care-givers at Stevens Nursing Center, for their loving care and support of "Ms. Lillie" over the past 5 years and the care-givers of Hospice of South Texas for their care and support during the past month.

Graveside Service: 2 pm, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Chamberlain Cemetery, 735 West Caesar Avenue, Kingsville, Texas.
