Lillian Ruth Brisco Allen, 81, of Hallettsville, passed away August 14, 2017. She was born on June 5, 1936 to Sirca Joseph & Sarah Varley Brisco in Weimar, TX. She married Charles McElroy Allen on August 15, 1952 in Columbus, TX, celebrating 52 years before his passing. She was a member the Mossy Grove Methodist Church of Hallettsville.

Lillian was a beautician for 35 years. She enjoyed sitting outside on her porch and watching the birds come to her feeders. She loved listening to her old country and gospel music, and attending church at Mossy Grove. She enjoyed her pot plants and decorating her yard. In her younger years, she always took pride in her beautiful yard that she spent countless hours keeping it bright with beautiful flowers and keeping it weeded. She and her husband, Charlie, used to love going to dances and took some special trips with special friends that gave her many memories that she cherished when her health had got her down. Her all-time favorite past-time after Charlie's death was to spend time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren, and her little beloved dachshund dog, Cindy. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother that always had that gorgeous smile on her face. She will be missed dearly by her many friends and family

Lillian is survived by: 4 sons, Sam Allen & wife Carol, Jessie Allen & wife Bethel, Bob Allen & wife Tammie, and Lou Allen & wife Dora; 8 grandchildren, Sammi Allen Silgero & husband Bobby, Stacy Allen, Shawn B. Allen, Sarah Allen Kram & husband Tim, Anna Allen Johnson & husband Jason, Lucas Allen, Lynn Allen, and John Allen; and 14 great grandchildren.

Lillian was preceded in death by: her husband Charles; daughter Carol Jean Allen; parents; 4 brothers, Emmett, Jessie, Ervin, and Raymond Brisco; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Betty Layton.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Saturday, August 19, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Shawn B. Allen, Shawn A. Allen, Tristian Walker, Jordan Silgero, Justice Silgero, and Dalton Silgero. Officiant: Rev. Melanie Monroe. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
