Obituary

Levern Edward Krause, 92, of Moulton, passed away March 9, 2017. He was born on October 6, 1924 to Edward & Martha Wurstenbart Krause in Moulton. He married Lorene Ann Trojack, she passed away on May 16, 2009.

Levern served in the US Army during WWII.   He received the Astatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze service star for the New Guinea Campaign, Philippine Liberation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, and 4 overseas Service Bars.

Levern is survived by: daughter Sharon Khaled & husband Ahmad; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Yackel, Brandy Yackel, and Matthew Khaled; great granddaughter Autumn Jacobs; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Levern was preceded in death by: his wife Lorene, parents, and brother Leroy Krause.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Kubena Funeral Home with Visitation starting at 10:30 am. Officiant: Pastor Ray Hagan. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery. Reception (after burial): Los Cabos Mexican Grill, 101 US Hwy 77, Hallettsville, TX.
