Lester E. Tesch Jr., 69, of Sheridan, TX, passed away Oct. 9, 2013, at Warm Springs Rehabilitation in Victoria, TX. He was born on Dec. 16, 1943 to Estelle Fuller and Lester Tesch, the fourth of nine children. He married Ann Riley on Apr. 4, 1964 in Koerth, TX. They lived in Sheridan most of their married life and raised 3 children.

Lester was a rough neck in the oilfield as a young man. Later in life he took up the trade of contract welder. His favorite pastime was listening to music and talking to his friends, hunting and looking at old cars. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.

Lester is survived by: his wife Ann; 2 sons, Bryan Tesch & wife Sandra of Hallettsville, and Darryl Tesch & wife Cindy, of Hallettsville; 1 daughter Roxanne Barker & husband Johnny of Sheridan; 4 brothers, Dean, Glen, and Dwayne Tesch of Hallettsville, and Oscar Tesch of Sheridan; 1 sister, LaVerne (Sissy) Milner of Cat Springs; 6 grandchildren, Kristen Villarreal & husband Gerald, Brittany Tesch, Amber Tesch, Samantha Barker, Cody Tesch, and Hank Barker; 1 step grandson Travis Shaw; 6 great grandchildren, Kennedy Villarreal, Karly Villarreal, Brynley Tesch, Taylin Meyer, Tuff Barker, and Trinity Tesch; and numerous nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

Lester was preceded in death by: his parents; and 3 brothers, Bud, Walter, and Tom Tesch.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Stephen Mazoch, James Mazoch, Bubba Tesch, Buddy Brocker, Samantha Barker, and Cody Tesch. Memorials: Diabetes Association, or Donor's Choice. Burial: Cheetham Cemetery in Sheridan.
