Leon Roger Tesch, 72, of Hallettsville, passed away Feb. 3, 2020. He was born on Jan. 23, 1948, to Walter Paul Sr. & Mary (Jahn) Tesch, in Hallettsville. He married Joyce May Bennett.
Leon graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1966 and shortly after he proudly joined the US Marine Corps. He continued his education at Massey Business College where he studied drafting. He worked for Cooper Cameron for 33 years as a machinist, which he loved and was currently retired.
Leon enjoyed every moment of life and spending time with his family, friends and pets. He loved sharing stories of his adventures and he always knew the best places to eat. He also loved grilling everything he could get his hands on and sharing it with all his family and friends.
Leon was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. The family wants him to be remembered for his love of his family, all animals and his wonderful sense of humor.
Leon is survived by: his wife Joyce; daughter Priscilla & husband Jamey Bramlett; son David Tesch & wife Liz; sisters, Alma Ruth Criswell and Ann Lorraine Currie; brother Maurice Antone Tesch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leon was preceded in death by; his parents, Walter Paul Sr. & Mary Viola Tesch, along with his eldest brother Walter Paul Tesch Jr.
Memorial Service : 10 am to 2 pm, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at Sacred Heart Family Center, in Hallettsville. Memorials: Donor's choice.
