Lena Partida, 92, of Hallettsville, passed away September 30, 2023.  She was born on July 6, 1931, to Martin and Felipa Rivera Aldaco, in Hallettsville, TX.  She married Lupe Partida on June 13, 1949, in Hallettsville.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lena adored her family. She loved to take rides through the country side with her husband Lupe, checking cattle or just to see the scenery.  She enjoyed gardening and growing her tomatoes. She enjoyed reading health books. She also loved all of her dogs and her cat Nicholas.

Lena is survived by; son Albert Partida of Hallettsville; daughters Beatrice Ortiz & husband Juan of LaGrange, Sophie Talamantez of Houston and Virginia Partida of Hallettsville; sister Clara Gutierrez of Ganado; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son John Ernest Partida; infant son Lupe Partida Jr.; son in-law Rudy Talamantez; and Granddaughter in-law Donita Ortiz.

Funeral Mass Service : 1 pm, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 11:30 am and Rosary starting at 12:30 am. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Tom Partida Jr., Manuel Gutierrez Jr., Tony Silgero, Victor Rivera Jr., Reuben Rivera, and Edward DeLaRosa. Memorials :  Sacred Heart Catholic Church or donor's choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
