Mrs. Lena Bolom, 90, of Yoakum, died January 28, 2007. She was born on August 23, 1916 to Joseph & Josephine Dymacek Matejek in Hallettsville. She married Louis Victor Bolom on November 28, 1939 in Sweet Home, Texas. Lena was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Koerth.

Lena is survived by: 3-sons, Philip Bolom of Hockley, Jerome Bolom of Yoakum, and Leo Bolom of Tyler; 3-daughters, Agnes Cerny of Shiner, Julia Carpenter of Yoakum, and Bertha Wood of Bergheim; 17-grandchildern; 23-great-grandchildren; and 3-great-great-grandchildren.

Lena was preceded in death by: husband Louis on September 18, 1989; son Jimmie Bolom; parents Joseph & Josephine Dymacek Matjek; 4-brothers, Simon Matejek, John Matejek, Charlie Dymacek, and Joe Dymacek; and 3-sisters, Eveyln Satterwhite, Emily Berkenhoff, and Josephine Peter.

Service: 1 pm, Friday, February 2, 2007 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Visitation: 1 pm, Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Wake Service: 7pm, Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Officiate: Rev. Charles Sonnier. Pallbeaers: Jarod Bolom, Kristopher Bolom, Jason Carpenter, Jeffery Carpenter, Kevin Cerny, and Mark Cerny. Burial: Koerth Catholic Cemetery.
