Mr. Lawrence Joseph Rothbauer, 90, of Hallettsville, died October 14, 2006. He was born on January 19, 1916 to Louis & Josephine Christen Rothbauer in Moravia, Texas. He married Eleanor Malec on January 6, 1942 at the Sacred Heart Church in Hallettsville.
Lawrence is survived by: wife Eleanor of 64 years of marriage; 2-Sons Larry Rothbauer and Richard Rothbauer both of Hallettsville; 2-Daughters Barbara Koehne and Margaret Pozzi both of Hallettsville. 6-Grandchildren and 1-Great Grandchild.
Lawrence is preceded in death by: Parents, 1-Brother Louis Rothbauer, 2-Sisters Irene Drabek and Laura Grahmann, 1-Grandson Clayton Koehne.
Lawrence was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Hallettsville Volunteer Fire Department, and was also a Constable
Service: 10am Monday October 16, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 4pm Sunday October 15, 2006 at the Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hallettsville.
Pallbearers: Kenneth Rothbauer, Mark Rothbauer, Jonathan Pozzi, Tommy Grahmann, Johnny Grahmann Sr., and Kenneth Henneke.
Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Pesek, Laura Rothbauer, Trisca Rothbauer, Dr. Joelyn Smith, Richard Grahmann, and Bill Byrd.
