Obituary

With great sorrow on May 5, 2023, Landon Wayne Koehne passed away in the arms of our Lord. He was born on May 25, 2006, to Justin & Lisa (Grahmann) Koehne of Schulenburg, Texas.

Landon was a fun-spirited young man who grew taking on many passions. He found comfort and peace in nature, loving to hunt deer, hogs, dove, turkey and ducks along with fishing at the coast, floundering at the bay, or just plain river fishing. As long as he could be outdoors, he was happy. The last three years Landon took on jobs for various people and places. If he wasn't found cutting or raking hay, he was fixing fence or welding, feeding and taking care of cattle or maybe even tracking some deer. He never complained of the physical efforts it took to get the jobs done.

Working with cattle, he participated in the Commercial Steer Programs for San Antonio, Houston and TCFA, raised a steer for the Houston Calf Scramble event, competed in skillathons, meat judging and many others contests. School was not exactly one of his passions, but he did love being in Ag and a part of the FFA, many times this was the only way his mama could get him to show up to school!

Strong willed and sometimes stubborn, defined Landon as a part of who he was. He also had a big heart and the most beautiful smile. Sometimes private and quiet, but witty and fun, fearless and independent, yet sensitive and compassionate. He was a handsome young man with so many dreams and ambitions for his future. Through all these adventures, experiences and opportunities is where so many of Landon's friendships blossomed and formed, not just with those of his own age, but many who were also adults. Countless individuals made an impact on his life and he in theirs. Love and respect, kindness and passion made him an incredible young man inside and out.

Landon is survived by his parents of Schulenburg and one sister, Lauren Elizabeth Koehne of Belton, TX. Paternal grandparents Leon & Carol Koehne, Maternal grandparents Alvin Paul & Barbara Grahmann all of Hallettsville. His faithful Chocolate Lab and buddy, Woody. His uncles and aunts, Steven & Shandlyn Koehne, Steven & Breann Grahmann, Amy & Jeffrey Floyd, Laura & Randall Duty. Landon's cousins Kelton Koehne & wife McKenzie, Korbin Koehne, Kacey and Kelci Grahmann, Jude, Beck and River Floyd, Ryan and Alexis Duty. And so, so many friends.

Taken too soon, he will be forever missed but not forgotten.

Until we meet again.
