IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lainey Marie
Pustejovsky
March 18, 2024 – June 9, 2024
Lainey Marie Pustejovsky, left the arms of her family and went to rest with Jesus on June 9, 2024, at 12:07 p.m. As the day approached for Lainey's delivery Grant & Ashley got the devastating news that in the womb, Lainey's body was showing signs of medical issues. After several tests and hospital stays, things were still very uncertain. Doctors were unsure if she would survive birth. The prayers started to flow in. Too much surprise, she did survive the birth and everything after that was a bonus. God graced us with her beautiful presence on March 18, 2024, at 11:29 p.m. at Detar North Hospital in Victoria, Texas. There she spent two weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The decision was then made that Lainey needed more extensive care and she was transferred to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas.
For a few short months she was ours. In those days, she fought so hard, surprising doctors. She got lots of snuggles and lots of love that filled her days. The amount of prayers lifted up for Lainey were unmeasurable and absolutely amazing. As her diagnosis was made, there was an answer to what Lainey and her family would be facing, but with that came little answers. Her momma called her a "rare bear", because she truly was, one in a million.
Lainey changed the world in her short time here, she brought so much prayer and love to those who knew her story. She brought a community together in love and prayers and she truly showed us what faith and trust in Jesus really meant. She only knew the love of her family and the numerous nurses and doctors that came to her aid.
Lainey was beautiful and perfect and now she is in a beautiful place with some great company. Oh, what a view she has. She will truly live in our hearts forever.
Lainey is survived by: her parents, Grant & Ashley Pustejovsky; brothers, Brody and Beau Pustejovsky; grandparents, Gary & Carol Pustejovsky and Michael & Valorie Schindler; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lainey is welcomed into heaven by; her great grandfathers, Bobby Schindler, Thomas Grahmann Sr. and Bohumir Pustejovsky and aunt Kaylen Schindler.
The family would like to extend an abundance of gratitude to all of the nurses and doctors that took their time to take care of Lainey as well as walking this journey with Grant and Ashley. Words cannot come close to the amount of appreciation we have for you.
If you are able, please wear pastel colors in honor of Lainey.
