IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kristy Lynn
Turner
June 11, 1985 – February 12, 2021
Kristy Lynn Turner, 35, of Hallettsville, and her unborn child Eli Glenn Turner went to be with the Lord Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born June 11, 1985, in Hallettsville, to Robert and Roberta Jurena. On Aug. 15, 2009 she married, the love of her life, Dustin D. Turner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville of which she was a member.
Kristy cared deeply for her family. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her adventures with her husband and sons brought her great joy. She loved the outdoors and animals and was right beside her husband and boys any chance she could get. Hunting with Dustin and the boys was a yearly tradition Kristy looked forward to. She enjoyed watching her two oldest sons' involvement in sports and they recently began 4-H adventures as a family. She looked forward to the day her youngest would begin these adventures. Kristy loved to love on people and almost always ended conversations with family and friends in the words "Love you." Kristy truly meant these words and spent time checking on and being lovingly available for numerous family and friends. Kristy was an amazing person who served many roles; daughter, wife, mother, sister, daughter in-law and so much more.
Kristy graduated from Hallettsville High School in 2003. She studied at Texas A&M University and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2007. She finished her Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Blinn College in 2009. She worked at Shiner Nursing and Rehab as the Director of Rehabilitation and a Physical Therapist Assistant. When she began her career she worked at Jones & Cowen Physical Therapy in Giddings. Through her work Kristy cared for many elderly. She not only brought them physical care, but she truly cared about the relationships she built with patients. Kristy never met a stranger. She impacted so many lives in her short time here on Earth. She will truly be missed by all.
Kristy is survived by: husband Dustin D. Turner; 3 sons, Colton Turner (10), Wyatt Turner (5), and Jace Turner (4); her parents Robert & Roberta Jurena of Hallettsville; her sister Kimberly Morris of Victoria; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and loving in-laws.
Kristy was preceded in death by; her maternal grandparents Frank V. & Rose Lee (Grahmann) Henke and her paternal grandparents Frank A. & Frances (Steffek) Jurena; also preceded in death by Dustin's maternal grandparents, John & Jewell Burns, and his paternal grandparent Carletta D'Ann Hargrove.
