Julius Hilmer Krause, 87, of Hallettsville, passed away May 22, 2015. He was born on Oct. 22, 1927 to Joseph & Julia Chromcak Krause in Moravia, TX. He married Dolores Billimek on April 25, 1949 in Moulton, TX. He was a veteran of WWII and member of Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church of Moravia.

Julius is survived by: wife Dolores; 2 sons, Gary Krause & wife Kimberly, and David Krause; daughter Shirley Dormire & husband Gary; sister Jo Dein Roznovsky & husband Steve; 4 grandchildren, Brian Dormire & wife Angie, Stacie Dormire, Stefanie Bruton & husband Robert Bruton Jr., and Jennefer Krause & fiancé Mike Broll; and 5 great grandchildren, Katalina, Jacqueline, Brodie & Barrett Bruton, and David Broll.

Julius was preceded in death by: his parents; and 2 brothers, Clarence and Ted Krause.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Monday, May 25, 2015, at Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church of Moravia. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday, with Rosary starting at5 pm, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Steve Roznovsky, Shawn Roznovsky, Brian Dormire, Stacie Dormire, Stefanie Bruton, Robert Bruton Jr., Angela Dormire, and Alton Chudje. Honorary Pallbearer: Gary Dormire. Memorials: Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church, American Heart Association, or Donor's Choice. Burial: Moravia Catholic Cemetery.
