Judith Catherine Schneider, 87, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024. She was born in Sweet Home to Jerry and Bertha Gallia Mozisek on September 30, 1936. She attended school in Shiner, Tx and graduated from Shiner High School in 1954. She married Alvin J. Schneider at Saint Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner on December 29, 1956. While her children were young, Judith was a stay-at-home mom. As they got older, she worked as a checker at Mensik's Grocery and then in retail at Mikulenka Department store and Wal-Mart. When Judith retired from Wal-Mart on December 29, 2017, she was one of their most dedicated associates with 30 years of service. Growing up on a farm, Judith loved gardening and often had bountiful spring and winter gardens. She canned all her produce and kept her family stocked up with home grown goods. She also loved to sew and made clothing for her children when they were younger. Over the years, she sewed many bridesmaid dresses and made many baby blankets for her grand and great grandchildren. After Alvin's passing, she continued to stay busy picking and shelling pecans and checking her cows at the farm.
