Joyce "Rees" Brisco, 83, of Houston, passed away May 3, 2011. She was born on Jan. 18, 1928 to Tom "Percy" & Norma Lucke Rees Jr. in Lavaca County, Texas. She married Raymond Brisco on June 26, 1949 at St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hallettsville. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Houston.

Joyce is survived by: daughter Bonnie Cupit & husband Travis of Tomball; 3 sons, Ron Brisco of Houston, Pat Brisco & wife Susanna of League City, and Darwin Brisco of Houston; sister Gaye Nell Kalich of Victoria; 4 grandchildren, Kristopher Cupit & wife Denise, Kimberly Cupit, and Bob & Charles Brisco; and great grandchild Riley Cupit.

Joyce was preceded in death by: her husband Raymond, and her parents.

Funeral Service: 2 pm, Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Kubena Funeral Home of Hallettsville. Visitation: 10 am, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Dr. Alan Williams. Pallbearers: Kristopher Cupit, Bob Brisco, Shane Laake, Robert B. Layton, Jordan Silgero, and Justus Silgero. Burial: Geiger Cemetery, Sublime, Texas.
