IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Josephine A.
Moore
August 7, 1922 – May 19, 2009
Josephine was always daddy's girl, riding with him on his paint horse "Boy", was a very fond memory of hers. Growing up on her grandparent's farm in Hackberry, and attending school in Hallettsville she had many stories to tell. She lived through the Great Depression and World War II; like so many of her friends and relatives. She lived and worked on the family homestead bought by her great-grandfather for many years; these were her most favorite times. She loved to entertain friends and family at her home and was a wonderful cook, her coconut cream pie was the best around. She ran a Hotel and Cafe in Baytown for several years. She could sew anything, loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Her children were her greatest joy; she was Momma, Granny Jo, and Aunt Josephine to so many children in her life and she loved them all.
Josephine is survived by: her children, daughter Barbara A. (Charles) Reinhardt of San Marcos, son John F. (Denise) Moore Sr. of Schulenburg, and stepdaughter Ruthie (Wayne) Byrd of New Llano, Louisiana; grandchildren, Mark A. (Michele) Reinhardt of Austin, John F. Moore Jr. (fiancé Denise J. McGuire) of Schulenburg, Sarah A. (Luke) Matula of Hallettsville, and Kyle D. Moore of Schulenburg; great grandchildren, Madeleine and Max Reinhardt of Austin, and Gregory John Matula of Hallettsville; and many close and dear family and friends.
Josephine was preceded in death by; her parents, first husband Leo Besetsny, second husband Joe Moore, and stepdaughter Jo Dean Moore.
