Josephine Brocker Denison, 94, of Hallettsville, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2010. She was born on Jan. 23, 1915 in Hallettsville, to Mike & Alma Bonorden Brocker. She was a housewife and farmer all her life. She was a loyal Lutheran. She married Alvin E. Denison on Nov. 10, 1933 in Hallettsville.

Josephine is survived by: daughter Bernice Clegg & husband Bill of Hallettsville; son Alton Denison & wife Betty of Hope; 6 grandchildren, Steve Clegg of Bay City, David Clegg & wife Dee of Bay City, Doug Clegg & wife Melissa of Van Vleck, Keith Denison of Inez, Susan Roberson & husband Jeff of Hallettsville, and Vicky Becker & husband Mark of Hallettsville; 11 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; brother Mike J. Brocker Jr. of Hallettsville; and sister Iona Gray of Hallettsville.

Josephine was preceded in death by; her husband Alvin, parents, grandson Richard Denison, great grandson Jeffery Roberson, and sister Alma Appelt.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Thursday, Jan. 14, 2009 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: 2 pm, Wednesday, at Kubena Funeral Home; with the family receiving visitors from 6 pm to 8 pm. Officiate: Rev. Herb Beyer. Pallbearers: Jeff Roberson, Keith Denison, Joey Roberson, Steve Clegg, Doug Clegg, and Brandon Clegg. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
