Joseph Henry Wysatta Jr., 63, of Hallettsville, passed away March 30, 2011. He was born on December 27, 1947 to Joseph H. & Mary Opela Wysatta Sr. in Hallettsville. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal, Air Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 device. He married Louise Wehling Wysatta on October 3, 1992 in Hallettsville. He was a member of the V.F.W., The American Legion, and First United Methodist Church of Hallettsville.

Joseph is survived by: his wife Louise; 2 sons, Mark G. Wysatta of Houston, and Joseph "Joey" E. Wysatta of Hallettsville; step daughter Cynthia Lyn Odefey & husband Cory of Hallettsville; and 2 grandchildren, Christopher Sipple and Taylor Odefey.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, April 2, 2011, at First United Methodist Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 3 pm, Friday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. Lundy Hooten. Pallbearers: James Garretson, Robert Wurm, Maco Johnston, William Emmons, Cory Odefey, Mike Yoakum, and Joey Wysatta Burial: Wysatta Family Cemetery.
