August 5, 1920 – April 4, 2007
Joe was a World War II veteran with the US Army Air Corps. He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 12 bronze campaign stars for Tunisia, Air Offensive Europe, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Normandy, Northern France, Southern France, North Apennines, Rhineland, Po Valley, and Air Combat campaigns; Good Conduct Medal; and Distinguished Unit Badge with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
Joe retired from Texaco, Inc. in 1982 having worked for them for 37 years. He was a long time resident of Ganado, Texas.
Joe is survived by: sons Jerry Kutach of Houston, and Dave Kutach of Hallettsville; granddaughter Sarah Woodring of Lolita; grandson Ronnie Joe Simicek of Houston; and great-grandson Tanner Woodring of Lolita.
Joe was preceded in death by: wives, Inez Griffin Kutach and Ruth Winfield Kutach; son Joe L. Kutach; daughter Ellen Simicek; his parents; 4-brothers, Steve, Paul, Charlie, and Otto Kutach; and 5-sisters, Pauline Smolik, Veronica Melnar, Agnes Zahn, Eveline Bradbury Simpson and Rosie Spacek.
Service: 4 pm, Friday, April 6, 2007 at Kubena Funeral Home. Visitation: Noon, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 6pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Ronnie Simicek, Wes Woodring, Donald Naiser, Marcus Melnar, Charles Belcik, and "Sonny" Steve Kutach. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials: Sacred Heart Church.
