Obituary

Joseph J. Jansky, 81, of Hallettsville, passed away July 6, 2013. He was born on March 8, 1932 to Adolph W. & Mary Cinadr Jansky Sr. in St. Mary's Community in Lavaca County. He married Dorothy Smolik on Nov. 17, 1952 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Koerth, Texas. He served active duty in the US Army, and member of KJT, Knights of Columbus, Hallettsville Volunteer Fire Department, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Joseph is survived by: his wife Dorothy; 2 sons, David Jansky & wife Barbara of Hallettsville, and Kenneth Jansky & wife Karen of Richmond; 3 daughters, Jan Hanslik & husband Doug of Victoria, Donna Kossa & husband Steve of Hallettsville, and Denise Henk & husband Chris of Hallettsville; 2 brothers, Charles A. Jansky & wife Dorothy, and Alphonse A. Jansky & wife Cheryl, both of Hallettsville; sister Patsy Fabian & husband Robert of Hallettsville; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Joseph was preceded in death by: his parents; 3 brothers, Freddie J., Adolph Jr., and Jerome W. Jansky.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Monday, July 8, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Sunday, Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 6 pm, Sunday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Jay Hanslik, Eric Jansky, Brian Kossa, Zachary Jansky, Josh Bujnoch, and Josh Jasek. Memorials: American Diabetes Association or Donor's Choice. Burial: Koerth Catholic Cemetery, Koerth, Texas.
