Johnny Andrew Watson, 57, of Hallettsville, Texas, passed away August 25, 2014. He was born on Nov. 4, 1956 in Hallettsville, to W.J. (Bill) & Joy Taylor Watson. He served in the US Navy, and worked many years in the oilfields.

Johnny became a dad to Andrew and William. He was so proud to be their dad and was happiest when he was with them. He loved his boys more than anything in this world.

Johnny was a great cook and one heck of a Bar-B-Q master. He hoped to open his own place one day.

Johnny is survived by: his 2 sons, Andrew and William Watson of Hallettsville; sister Billie Jo Stevens & husband Royce of Yoakum; niece Tara Mache of Yoakum; nephews, Chris & wife Renate Mache of Schulenburg, and Jeff & wife Brie Nolin of North Carolina; 5 great nieces; 1 great nephew; and extended family and friends.

Johnny was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers, Jack Robin Watson and Jimmy Watson; sister Peggy Pohl; and grandparents.

A memorial service is pending at a later date.
