Johnny Raymond Rainosek, 61, of Hallettsville, died Dec. 31, 2008. He was born on Aug. 13, 1947 to Frank L. & Anastasia Spanihel Rainosek in Hallettsville. He married Wyona Stukes Rainosek on Jan. 15, 1967 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville.

Johnny is survived by: his wife Wyona; daughter Jacquelyn Holub & husband Waylon of Schulenburg; 2 sons, Brian Rainosek of Luling, and Ronald Rainosek & wife Theresa of Shiner; 2 sisters, Margie Ann Renger & husband Billy of Hallettsville, and Grace Marie Renken & husband Dennis of Victoria; and 6 grandchildren, Keith Rainosek, Megan Rainosek, Kevin Rainosek, Rudy Moreno Jr., Katelyn Holub, and Madyson Holub.

Johnny was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 sisters, Mary Alice Rainosek and Dorothy Schindler; and brother Francis Daniel Rainosek.

Service: 2 pm, Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 1 pm, Saturday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosaries: 7 pm, Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home; and 1:30 pm, Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers: Keith Rainosek, Kevin Rainosek, Rudy Moreno Jr., Cullen Harper, Kenneth Bujnoch, and Michael Bujnoch. Honorary Pallbearers: Megan Rainosek, Katelyn Holub, Madyson Holub, Benedict V. Bujnoch, Darren Bohne, Mike Heller, Kim Hagan, Pat Janak, and Chad Pasak. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Memorials: Hospice of South Texas or the American Diabetes Association.
