Johnnie Rose Randow, 94, of Katy, passed away Dec. 18, 2011. She was born on Sept. 11, 1917 to John F. & Rosie Prasek Holubec in Hallettsville. She married Wilbert H. Randow on June 8, 1935 in Hallettsville. She was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church in Katy.

Johnnie loved her family and had her home and refrigerator decorated with pictures of all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and could always be found with the latest book. She loved watching sports, especially football. The Texas A&M Aggies and the Texans were her favorites. She loved her loving caring neighbors and appreciated all their thoughtfulness. She showed everyone unconditional love and was the heart of the family.

Johnnie is survived by: 3 daughters, Martha Cook & husband Dick of Kenner, LA, Jean Marek & husband James of Katy, and Kay Kruk & husband Keith of Sugarland; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Johnnie was preceded in death by: her husband Wilbert; son Richard Randow; parents; 2 brothers, one at infancy, and Julius E. Holubec.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 5 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Scott Marek, Jon Marek, Stephen Marek, Danny Cook, Dickie Cook, Donnie Cook, Ryan Kruk, and Tim Randow. Memorials: Boy Scouts of American or Sacred Heart Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
