John Wesley Lell, 81, of Hallettsville, passed away Jan. 8, 2012. He was born on June 14, 1930, to John P. & Emilie Fritz Lell in Hallettsville. He married Anna Pohl on May 28, 1966 in Cotulla, Texas. He was a member of Herman & Sons, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

John is survived by: 2 sons, Tony Lell of Katy, and Christopher Lell & wife Candice of Arlington; brother Weldon J. Lell of Hallettsville; 2 sisters, Gladys Lyssy and Mildred Lyssy both of San Antonio; and numerous nieces & nephews.

John was preceded in death by: his wife Anna; parents; and sister, Dolores Engelhardt.

Funeral Mass Service: 11 am, Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Visitation: 4 pm, Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm Wednesday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Joey Lell, Robin Pohl, Chris Lell, Tony Lell, Karen Engelhardt, and Mike Lell. Burial (Private): Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio.
