Mr. Joe Tise, 68, of Hallettsville, died October 3, 2006. He was born on May 1, 1938 to Lee & Etta Mae Kessler Tise in Eagle Lake, Texas. He married Shirley Rene Cook on March 12, 1960 at First Baptist Church in Hallettsville.

Joe is survived by: wife Shirley of 46 years of marriage; son Carey Tise & wife Natalie of Bellville, Texas; 2 daughters Kimberly Karstedt & husband Thomas of La Grange, Texas, and Amy Raabe & husband Chris of Speaks, Texas; 2 brothers Bobby Earl Tise of Sealy, Texas, and Clarence Tise & wife Barbara of Blessing, Texas; 2 sisters Nettie Barfield & husband Clarence of LaPorte, Texas, and Gracie Pearson & husband Roger of Temple, Texas; and 6 grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by: parents Lee & Etta Mae Kessler Tise; 3 brothers Buddy, Sammy, and James Ray Tise; and one granddaughter Alana Elizabeth Karstedt.

Service: 11 am, Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Christ the King Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: Noon, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home, with the family receiving visitors between 6 pm to 8 pm that Friday. Officiate: Pastor Darrell McManus. Burial: Speaks Cemetery, Speaks, Texas. Memorials: The American Heart & Lung Association. Pallbearers: Ryan Tise, Al Miska, Rusty Smith, Roger Birdwell, Ashley Cook, and Johnny Tise. Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Brian M. Reasoner, Dr. Justin W. Powell, Dr. Joseph Burks, Dr. Jeff Bates, Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
