Jo Anne Matula, 70, of Hallettsville, passed away August 7, 2023.  She was born on July 30, 1953, to William & Lou Ann Myers Luehrmann Sr., in Dallas, TX.  She married Anthony Matula on August 31, 1985, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Jo Anne is survived by; her husband Anthony, brother William "Hank" Luehrmann Jr. & wife Mary, and 2 nephews, Lance & Mike Luehrmann.

Jo Anne was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Friday, August 11, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 9 am and Rosary starting at 9:30 am. Pallbearers: Lance Luehrmann, Travis Matula, Garrett Grahmann, Garrett Henke, Dennis Herring and Mark Brown. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Memorials: St. Mary's Catholic Church or donor's choice. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
