Jessie Florine Montgomery, 92, of Hallettsville passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017. She was born on June 5, 1925, to Vance and Fannie Potter in Austin, Texas. On May 1, 1942, she married the love of her life Murray Montgomery Sr. in Austin. She worked many years as an insurance and real estate broker in Lake Jackson. She loved the outdoors, working in her garden, and feeding the many beautiful birds in her yard.

Jessie is survived by her two sons, Murray Montgomery Jr. & wife Cordelia, and Joel Montgomery & wife Angel, all of Hallettsville; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and sister Fannie Margaret Milligan of Lake Jackson.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Murray Sr.; son, Richard; daughter Linda Sue; four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral Graveside Service: 2 pm, Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at Speaks Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers: her grandsons. Memorials (in lieu of flowers): Speaks Cemetery Association, Regency Nursing home of Schulenburg or Donor's Choice. Burial: Speaks Cemetery.
