Jerome A. Kristek Jr., 73, of Hallettsville, passed away August 1, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1944 to Jerome & Magdalene Sassin Kristek Sr. in Hallettsville. He married Betty Fajkus on June 7, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Flatonia, TX. He was a member of the American Legion of Sweet Home and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Jerome is survived by: his wife Betty; 2 sisters, Magdalene Boehm of Shiner, and Doris Vitek & husband Alvin of Sealy, TX; and 2 grandchildren, Dillon Hlavinka and Ashley Kristek.

Jerome was preceded in death by: his parents, son Jerome Kristek III and Brother-in-law David Boehm.

Funeral Mass Service: 2 pm, Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville; with Visitation starting at 12 Noon, and Rosary starting at 1:30 pm (all at church). Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Pallbearers: Tim Foeh, Bradley Pekar, Joey Pekar, Joseph Pekar, T.J. Boehm, and Larry Fillip. Memorials: Donor's Choice. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
