Bujnoch

Jerome attended and graduated from Vysehrad School. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army on January 30, 1956. He was stationed in Korea for 21 months and 13 days, and on November 30, 1957, was honorably discharged. During his service in the army, he was a member of the Honor Guard. After his discharge, he then moved back to Hallettsville. On June 22, 1968, he married Lucille Brown Hlavac at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, and made a home in the Vysehrad area with Lucille and her two children, Susan and Larry Hlavac. Together they had four children: Doris Kay, Donna Lynn, Debra Jane and Daniel Jerome Bujnoch.
Jerome worked as a farmer, rancher and carpenter. He had a number of jobs as a carpenter in Hallettsville, including working at Morgan's for 15 years and retiring from Kasper Wire Works in 2000, after 13 years of service. Jerome loved to listen to polka music every day. He also enjoyed hid 4-wheeeler to check and manage his cattle.
Jerome is survived by: his wife Lucille; son Daniel Bujnoch & wife Angela of Hallettsville; 3 daughters, Doris Mixon & husband John of Hallettsville, Donna Bujnoch & friend Travis Etzler of Hallettsville, and Debi Rodriguez of Austin; 2 step children, Susan Janak & husband Steve of Hallettsville, and Larry Hlavac & wife Barbara of Shiner; 2 brothers, Bernard Bujnoch & wife Joyce of New Braunfels, and Stanley Bujnoch Sr. & wife Betty of Hallettsville; 3 sisters, Margaret and Leona Bujnoch of Hallettsville, and Patricia Stroud of Houston; 6 grandchildren, Kyndall Mixon, Logan Mixon, Davin Rodriguez, Ava Rodriguez, Adison Bujnoch, Avery Bujnoch; 2 step grandchildren, Bradley Hlavac and Amy Pratt; and 4 step great grandchildren, Taylor Hlavac, Clayton Hlavac, Brayden Kelso, and Austin Pratt.
Jerome was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers, Thomas and James Bujnoch; and 3 sisters, Lois Rita Konvicka, Henrietta Langhammer, and Adela Morisak.
Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Hallettsville. Visitation: 3pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: John Mixon, Travis Etzler, Bradley Hlavac, Stanley D. Bujnoch Jr., Stephen Brown, Clifford Brown, and Vance Brown. Burial: Hallettsville City Cemetery.
